The K Desktop Environment

1. Introduction

KGet is intended to be an utility for those, who wish to download several files without looking at several progress dialogs. Program supports drag & drop feature of KDE. You can easily drop url's from kfm onto main window or onto docking window. Transfer will register on the list and you can simply organize them ( add, delete, stop, resume, move around on the list). Status window shows size of each transfer and current progress in percents. If you have modem and PPP, you can also watch current transfer speed on status bar.

Basic I/O code for ftp, http and file protocols has been taken from kioserver / kioslave stuff from kdebase distribution.

I have added support for resuming and queueing, you can set transfers for trying later. When you quit kget, transfers can stay on the list and next time you run kget they will continue download.

I hope you will find kget useful,
